Gabbie Glenn, LCMHCA

Hi, I’m Gabbie and I can be your child’s therapist in Charlotte North Carolina

Let’s be direct and to the point. Here is a little about me:

  • Utilizes a solution-focused approach (both with children & parenting)
  • Diagnosed with ADHD
  • An introvert leaning ambivert
  • Prior school based therapist

I love working with ADHD and Autistic kids who come across as angry, aggressive, or defiant, who push limits, struggle to express their feelings, and often feel like they don’t quite belong.

➤ Is this you?

  • You need help navigating the school system and feel overwhelmed by the IEP/504 process.
  • It feels like you’re getting calls every day about your child’s behavior, and you’re overwhelmed knowing another suspension may be coming.
  • You’re exhausted from the constant pushing of boundaries. It can feel like things are out of control, and your confidence in how to support your child has started to slip.
  • Your child says they feel anxious, insecure, and like a social outcast, yet you often see them surrounded by other kids, and you’re left wondering which version is actually true.

➤ How can I help?

  • I help parents understand neurodiversity and their child in a deeply personalized way, so they can see how their child’s brain works and what they truly need.
  • I offer insight into triggers, regulation patterns, strengths, and the function behind challenging behaviors, along with practical tools that actually help in everyday moments.
  • I teach parents how to see behavior as communication and how to respond in a way that supports, rather than escalates.
  • I use a collaborative parenting approach that gets to the root of what’s going on, creating lasting change instead of just managing surface-level symptoms.
  • I help shift parents away from shame-based thinking and toward deeper connection, clarity, and understanding with their child.
  • I use play-based techniques to build your child’s confidence and help them better manage those big, overwhelming emotions.

If you are looking for my credentials, here they are:

  • Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina
  • Pursuing certification as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT)
  • Masters of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Dayton.
