Frequently Asked Questions

We do not accept insurance or Medicare/Medicaid, and we are considered out of network with insurance providers. The client is responsible for submitting our services to their insurance. If requested, we can provide a Superbill to assist clients with this process. For individual services, payment is processed on the day of the session.

Why We Don’t Bill Insurance Directly

We have chosen a private pay model because it allows us to provide personalized, strengths-based support for children, teens, adults, and families. This flexibility helps us meet clients where they are, tailor interventions to their unique needs, and offer care that supports long-term growth, connection, and success.

Why We Choose a Private Pay Model

Our goal is to provide individualized, relationship-centered care that meets each client’s unique needs. By operating as a private pay practice, we have the flexibility to focus on what matters most: helping children, teens, adults, and families thrive.

Our clinicians provide a variety of evidence-based and developmentally appropriate services, including play therapy, counseling for children and adolescents, parent support, family therapy, ADHD support, Autism-affirming care, executive functioning support, emotional regulation skill-building, and more.

This model allows us to:

  • Tailor treatment plans to each individual’s strengths, challenges, and goals
  • Utilize a wide range of therapeutic approaches without outside restrictions
  • Support clients at a pace that promotes meaningful growth and lasting change
  • Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, schools, and other support systems when appropriate
  • Focus our time and energy on providing exceptional clinical care

Many families seek our services because they want support that goes beyond symptom management. Whether a child is experiencing challenges with emotional regulation, executive functioning, social relationships, anxiety, ADHD-related needs, Autism-related support, family stress, or life transitions, we strive to provide care that is personalized, practical, and grounded in each person’s strengths.

For younger children, play therapy may be the most effective path to growth and healing. For others, treatment may involve traditional talk therapy, parent coaching, family therapy, skills-based interventions, or a combination of approaches. We believe therapy should fit the individual, not the other way around.

Our priority is helping clients build confidence, resilience, stronger relationships, and the skills needed to succeed at home, school, work, and in everyday life.

Reimbursement Options

While we do not bill insurance directly, many families are still able to use insurance benefits to help offset the cost of therapy services. Depending on your plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement for counseling, play therapy, family therapy, ADHD support, Autism-related services, and other mental health treatment.

To support this process, we can provide:

  • Superbills for insurance reimbursement
  • Receipts for HSA and FSA reimbursement

We also work with several alternative funding and reimbursement programs that may help cover the cost of services for eligible clients, including

  • ESA+
  • A variety of private scholarships and grants

In addition, we have Graduate Intern Therapists, who provide services at a reduced rate while completing advanced clinical training. Interns receive comprehensive supervision through multiple channels, including regular individual supervision, group supervision, case consultation, and onsite clinical support from licensed therapists.

Our Priority: Providing the Best Care Possible

Our priority is ensuring that children, teens, adults, and families receive care that feels supportive, responsive, and aligned with their goals.

If you have questions about our fees, private pay services, or whether your insurance may offer out-of-network benefits, we are happy to help you explore your options and make an informed decision about care.

We do not offer formal testing for official diagnoses. However, after working with your child, our therapists can offer professional insights. Should you wish to seek a formal diagnosis, we are happy to provide referrals.

While our therapists do not prescribe medications themselves, they do work in tandem with the client’s other providers by evaluating and providing assessments while under our care. They can also provide referrals if needed.

We do not offer in-home services. To ensure the highest quality of care, our therapists meet with children in person at our office locations. Our playrooms are specifically designed to support ADHD and Autistic children. It is a space where they are comfortable and can thrive. While parent and adult individual services are typically conducted virtually, they can also be held in person at our office if preferred.

Our therapists do not provide on-site classroom visits. However, they regularly partner with teachers and school counselors at no additional cost to ensure a coordinated approach to care. To enable this collaboration, we ask that parents sign a Release of Information form.
