Madison Backer, LCMHC-A

Hi, I'm Madison and I can be your counselor in Charlotte, North Carolina

Let’s be direct and to the point. Here is a bit about me:

  • Straight forward approach
  • Brother with ADHD
  • Extroverted Introvert
  • Outdoorsy and curious

I love working with anxious and depressed ADHD kids, and their families.

➤ Is this you?

  • Your ADHD daughter is always over thinking and seems anxious about her future. You’re worried she may have depression as it runs in the family.
  • Your ADHD child feels really alone and different. They question why they have ADHD, and wish they were like the other kids.
  • Your child has an ADHD sibling and needs TLC focused on them for a change.
  • Your ADHD son is just like your ADHD husband- they both forget everything! You wish they could have some direction on how to handle all the ‘to do’s, so you don’t have to be their ‘reminder list’.
  • Your child has a diagnosis of ADHD, and you know that parenting will look a bit different for you. You are seeking direction on how to most effectively parent.

➤ How can I help?

  • I teach parenting strategies that really focus in on how the ADHD brain works, and I can help you implement these skills as well.
  • I will meet you where you are, and help you in supporting your child and assisting them in thriving with their ADHD.
  • I understand what it is like having a sibling with ADHD, and I can share those experiences with your child.
  • I teach empathy skills to help families be on the same page, work together, and achieve goals as a family.
