Alyse Bone, LCMHC-QS, RPT
Hi, my name is Alyse and I am a black therapist for anxious ADHD adults that are struggling with managing work, their relationships and everything in between. I offer services at both our Southpark and Huntersville locations.
Here are some important things to know about me:
- Direct approach
- Black therapist- specializes with identifying minority ADHD adults
- Loves volunteering in the community
- Younger sister has ADHD
- Loves creative arts, mindfulness, and yoga
I absolutely love supporting anxious/perfectionist adults who are experiencing depression while maintaining a high level profession. I enjoy developing new strategies to assist in managing the juggling of responsibilities, so you can be fully invested in anything you set your mind to.
➤ Is this you?
- You were diagnosed with ADHD as a child, or you always suspected it and were never diagnosed. Now, it really seems like those traits are holding you back. You recognize that you are always working harder than your coworkers, and continue to get passed over for promotions and big opportunities.
- Your significant other is losing patience with you. You try everything you can to maintain the house, but no matter what happens you slip and fall behind. You feel like a failure pretty much every day, and sometimes question if it is all worth it.
- You are looking for someone who can guide you through it all. You are great at implementing things but can’t seem to ever come up with the ideas, OR you have a plethora of ideas that you can never get started. Whether you are a dreamer or a doer, you know you need the help of a therapist to ensure you don’t skip those crucial steps.
- The depression and anxiety is overwhelming and the marriage/relationship is too. You just need someone that understands ADHD and can help you in taking charge and knowing what to do next.
➤ How can I help?
- I utilize a combination of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), MBCBT (mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and traditional talk therapy (psychodynamic approach) to specifically target the ADHD challenges that prevent you from reaching your goals.
- I focus on communication strategies that build connections to ease the process of self-advocating and naming the supports you need at home and work.
- We strategize the most significant challenges in order to help remove limiting thinking patterns that often prevent ADHD people from overcoming their anxiety and depression.
