Here are some of the most commonly asked questions:

  • What is the cost? I meet with your family 2 times a week, for 45 minutes each session. One session will be only your child or teenager, with a second session devoted to the parents. This commitment to your family is $300 per week ($150 per session).
  • How long are sessions? Appointments are 45 minutes.
  • How many sessions are needed? I have worked with families as few as 4 weeks, typically sessions last for 3-6 months with reduced frequency throughout that time.
  • Do you accept insurance? No, however some insurances reimburse for out-of-network benefits. Please contact your insurance company directly.
  • Do I participate in single case agreements? No, I am unable to call or complete any paperwork for insurance.
  • Who comes to the first session? Parents only, appointments will be rescheduled if children are present. Children are not able to be in the waiting room without parent supervision.
  • My spouse is unable to attend the intake, is that okay? Yes, however whenever possible it is ideal for both parents to attend all parent only sessions.
  • I am divorced/separated, do I have to tell the other parent? Yes, with few exceptions, both parents must complete all intake paperwork and meet with me for an intake.
  • Do you go to court / do custody evaluations? No, you will sign documentation at intake stating that I do not go to court nor complete custody or court evaluations.
  • Do you complete documentation for ESA animals? No, I am not qualified to complete this paperwork.
  • Do you offer reduced rates / sliding scale? Not at this time.
